Local history and preferences

Nexus saves conversations and preferences in your browser on this device. This storage does not sync between devices. Settings lets you export or delete local history. Other people with access to your browser profile may be able to read it.

When you send a message

Your prompt and the included conversation context are sent through the Nexus server to OpenRouter and the selected AI provider. Their own retention and processing policies apply. We cannot promise that every provider has the same training or retention policy. Avoid sending confidential information.

Security and usage limits

The production backend does not intentionally store message bodies. To enforce abuse limits, it stores a keyed hash derived from your IP address and request counts. Raw addresses are not stored in that rate-limit record. These records are replaced when the next daily usage window begins. The hosting provider may maintain access and security logs, including IP addresses, under its own policy.

Cookies and analytics

This release has no advertising trackers or analytics integration. Browser storage is used for local chat history and theme preferences. Infrastructure providers may use their own essential cookies.

Your choices

Use Settings to export or clear local history. Clearing browser site data also removes saved conversations. Deleting local history does not erase data already processed by an AI or hosting provider.

Third parties and contact

See OpenRouter’s privacy policy and the chosen model provider’s policy. A public support contact will be added to the Contact page when available.
